Book a Show!

What makes up an Erin Lee & Marci show?
Our family concerts feature something for big kids, little kids, and their grownups. Performing both original songs and new takes ontraditional tunes, our music celebrates a variety of genres (pop, bluegrass, klezmer, and ‘50s rock ‘n’ roll to name just a few.) accompanying our vocal harmonies with acoustic guitars and percussion, we promise to get kids (and grownups) singing, laughing, dancing and learning!

We come from educational backgrounds – in fact, much of our music was first performed by the kids in our theatre classes. our songs, and in turn our shows, include positive social and educational messages while maintaining a high level of energy, creativity and fun. This makes our shows particularly adaptable for a variety of venues including theatres, schools, museums, libraries and concert halls.

Is there audience participation?
Yes! Each child is encouraged to participate at their own age and comfort level, be it with call and response singing, silly sound effects, or even elaborate dance moves. Audiences are asked to participate from their seats (sometimes standing at their seats) as a group, allowing both outgoing and more reserved children to join in at a level that is most comfortable for them.

What instruments will we hear?
We perform both as an acoustic duo and with their five-member, multi-talented band. A concert with “the works” features guitar, keyboard, harmonica, mandolin, banjo, djembe and four part harmonies – all in one set!

As a duo, we've been called “the Indigo Girls of childhood music”.  With just the two of us onstage we will still treat you to our acoustic sound featuring guitars and a huge variety of percussion sounds!

What are your technical requirements?
For small venues such as classrooms and libraries we only require a few stools or armless chairs. For larger venues such as auditoriums or for noisy spaces a sound system will be necessary. Details can be discussed upon booking.

How long is your show?
A typical show is 45 minutes long. Longer or shorter shows can be arranged on an as needed basis.

How soon do I need to book a show?
Due to extremely busy schedules, it is in your interest to book with as much advance notice as possible. While occasionally we will be
able to book a show on short notice, it is best to book a few months in advance to insure your choice of dates and times.

How can I contact you to book a show or for more information?
Email info@gottaplay.org. Please remember to include your location and the dates and times you are interested in and remember to allow up to a few days to receive a response.
